From February 19th to 21st, 2025, BATTERY JAPAN took place at the Tokyo Big Sight, drawing global attention. As one of Asia's premier battery events, it attracted manufacturers, material and tech suppliers, and research institutions from around the world. By integrating new technologies with diverse manufacturing processes, Hymson presented a range of innovative products, including high-speed laser notching machine, high-speed cutting and stacking integrated machine, prismatic cell assembly line, and high-speed laser ablation machine. A key highlight was Hymson's newly launched high-speed laser notching machine, which, according to reports, has surpassed a production speed of 120 m/min. On a global scale, Hymson's high-speed laser notching machine leads the market in key indicators like cutting precision, speed, burrs, etc., securing a leading market share worldwide. Moreover, the equipment has become deeply integrated into the global lithium battery supply chain, earning the trust of customers across Europe, North America, Japan, and Korea.


In addition, Hymson also showcased several innovative products. The self-developed high-speed cutting and stacking integrated machine combines multiple functions such as unwinding, optional laser tab notching, electrode cutting, stacking, end wrapping, taping, hot pressing, thickness measuring, Hi-Pot testing, appearance inspection, etc. This integration significantly optimizes equipment footprint, with stacking efficiency ≤ 0.28 s/PCS and auxiliary unloading time ≤ 3s. The newly introduced prismatic cell assembly line features a unique process of tab laser welding without pre-welding, effectively reducing process steps and boosting production efficiency. Hymson also introduced a customizable wide-width laser ablation machine for surface treatment of tab welding areas, using multi-head laser calibration technology, with processing precision up to ±0.2 mm. These groundbreaking products not only highlight Hymson's deep expertise in technological research and development but also bring fresh solutions and improved production capacity to the industry.


At the show, Hymson also displayed various process samples, covering prismatic and stacked cells, and processes for 3C battery cell manufacturing, including notching, stacking, assembly, and ablation. These laser cutting, welding, and surface treatment technologies provide customers with opportunities to validate the feasibility of new battery processes and meet customized equipment needs, accelerating the iteration of battery technologies.
